Hayden Woolf - Biography  
 


Hayden Woolf is a young Australian composer, songwriter and performer. He is currently working towards his Masters degree in composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Hayden's song cycle "Red Liquid Triangular Condition" will be recorded and broadcast on ABC classic fm in December 2010 with Maria Okunev as soloist. Hayden has worked with choreographer Dean Walsh and artist Klaus Fruchtnis, producing two works that toured around Asia in 2007/8. His music has featured on various television shows including ABC's "Compass" program. Hayden is currently working on a commission from American bassoonist Dr Paula Brusky on a song cycle for Bassoon, Soprano and Piano which has an anticipated release on American label MSR Classics early 2011. Chronology Arts have featured Hayden's work. Hayden also performs as a member of indie chamber folk band Jack Colwell and the Owls and maintains an active career as a composer and flute and theory tutor. Hayden’s music combines elements of 1970s folk music and both traditional and contemporary classical composition. The result is his distinctive dialectic chamber folk style.
