My current direction has led me towards the exploration of timbres not usually heard in the conservatory. All varieties of extended techniques, combinations of instruments, and use of electronics can be seen in my current music. I try to make each piece appealing and moving.
Because of my involvement in world music ensembles as an undergraduate, I am open to using instruments from other cultures, and feel this should be a positive direction for the future.
Since studying with Orlando Garcia, I have learned to use silence as a way of letting my music expand and breathe.
