christopher sahar - Composer

I am primarily a composer who plays the organ and piano. I reside in New York City and have been taking courses at Juilliard's Evening Division and Hunter College/City University of NY.

An ideal vacation for me would be walking in a historic city loaded with history - Florence say - with gorgeous beaches offering big waves to body surf and a few cabanas serving delicious food and stouty beers. Of course, there would be a chance to play on an interesting organ and sketch some composition ideas.

My tastes are a little catholic: Talking Heads, Brahms, Gombert, Cipriani de Rore, Hadyn, Ligeti, Ferneyhough, Bulgarian folk music and a little bit of Arabic music all engage me.

I hope you enjoy my music and please e-mail me if you want to share your compositions or discuss performance opportunities.
