News:
19 November: All of Anthony's various projects have been successful, some more successful than others. Highlights include the Callithumpian Consort Concert in Jordan Hall, where he performed James Tenney's Chromatic Cannon, and his Nicht Zart II was performed. He has recently began working with a vocalist, Yael Handelman, and will perform concerts with her in the near future. Working with Steve Reich will also be very exciting in the following week.
27 October: Working with the Providence String Quartet has been a positive experience for me. The concert at the Bell Street Chapel was wonderfully programmed, wonderfully proportionate, and well-executed by the Providence String Quartet and the Community Music Works Fellows. Not only was Chance a part of a community activity in Providence, but it was also a part of the concert environment here. I hope this relationship will only be enriched. More information can be found here: http://communitymusicworks.typepad.com/
The second wedding went well also! Now, onto Jordan Hall!
Lastly, “City Life” rehearsals are improving, but there are still technical issues with the Samplers. Hopefully, they will be repaired soon.
20 October: Good news all around! The AIDS Care Ocean State Cabaret benefit was a big success, and plenty fun! Also, Anthony conducted his piece “Midnight, and the taking-in” at Williams Hall 16 October. While his piece was last (performed around 10:40 PM), he still had a good audience, and the piece was received very well. The musicians (Ceceilia Allwein, Danilo Henriquez, Travis Alford, Aziz Barnard-Luce, Lucia Stavros, Ashe Gordon, Jessica Lipon, Kalindi Bellach, Alicia Lynne Gregorian, Javier Caballero, and Kathy Schulmeister) were wonderful, and the evening was truly magical.
His brother’s wedding was also successful. Plenty fun was had by all friends and family, and the flaming desserts were exciting! Lauren McAllister played violin very beautifully for the service. Anthony and Lauren are preparing themselves for another wedding next Saturday.
Anthony’s upcoming concerts include 2 public Providence performances, 2 private ones, and 2 Jordan Hall concerts. See below for details. Furthermore, Anthony will have the pleasure to play Synthesizer II in a performance of “City Life” by Steve Reich with a group from NEC, under the direction of Maestro Charles Peltz. He will also play a solo recital at Laurel Meade at the end of November.
